Period rooms are seen in the museum. The kitchen is alive with brightly painted flower panels and an antique wood-fired cook stove. A children's bedroom contains a delightful crib built and decorated by Viggo Brandt-Erichesen with scenes from the tales of Hans Christian Andersen. In the parlor is a suite of furniture from old Copenhagen and a decorative parlor stove . The ELVERHØJ Museum is a showcase for many of Denmark's traditional fold arts including weaving, needlework, lace making, wood carving and paper cutting. The ELVERHØJ contains a spacious art gallery with rotating exhibits of regional art and International Danish Arts and Crafts. |
