Ed's Gardening with Ev | ||

Ev's planting page. |
The plants didn't even wilt and we cut roots from the new plants when I went to plant them., roots way too big for the slit I cut in the bag for them. Ed took a knife and cut away and I thought that they were going to wilt and die. Dragged the bag home in the trunk of the car - no water in it yet. Hauled it upstairs, and nailed a nail in the end of my kitchen cupboards and hung it up. Now I am not a gardener - I have plastic plants on my deck. I have 2 small plants in the house and the rest are silks and plastic from where ever I find them. Since I leave for weeks at a time I don't try and keep things going well. Once I had a neighbor water some plants I tried for the season on the deck and he had watered my plastic fichus tree for a few days before he realized it was a fake plant. We still grin over that. It has been a week, and they didn't even wilt from being planted. I have taken cuttings from the basil for my cooking. In the morning I carry it outside and hang in the sun for a few hours and then when cooking time comes I just haul it back in as I enjoy the fragrance of the plants while I am busy cooking.
