Yankee Wood Chapter

While I was writing this I recall the story that was told to me many years ago.  Since this museum is in Buellton, CA and about 3 miles from Solvang, CA which is the Danish Capital of United States.  We know a little about these Danes.  Seems to me it went like this:  A wealthy man name of  Joe, had a man working for him name of Zeb.  Well Joe found a wonderful Woody and had it sent to his home while on vacation.  Zeb accepted the car and when Joe called to see if it had arrived was told that "Yes it was here."  But, why didn't you send all the car?  In the line of questioning it was discovered that Zeb had taken the wood off figuring that it was boxed and wondered where the other parts to the car were.  Now I don't know if I really believe this but, you know how  stories go.... so , thanks to our visitors for restoring these wonderful old cars and sharing them with us.

As one walks around unusual seating is available.

This is one of my favorite signs - at the moment it is not mounted.
