*El Mirage Camp Fires.  BLM at El Mirage is currently operating under a "Stage II Fire
Condition" which has a huge effect on camping for SCTA members. There are NO wood or
charcoal "camp" fires or cooking appliances using wood or charcoal allowed.  PERIOD.  Stoves
or BarBQs must use propane or gasoline type fuel and be controllable by valve or knob.  ALSO,
to operate these a permit IS required for each campsite.  Cooking appliances used inside an RV
do not need a permit. Gina Robison and Barry Nelson will be passing out these permits this week-
end.  According to Barry Failure to Comply will result in a citation and the fine can be as much as
$250,000.00.  This is a temporary situation based on seasonal fire danger ratings.  Jim Dunn
