*Virginia legislation (H.B. 288) that threatened to
restrict pleasure driving of antique motor
vehicles to a range not more than 50 miles from the owner’s
residence has been withdrawn by
the bill’s sponsor. The bill also sought to clarify that antique
vehicles may not be used for work-
related travel, while legislators considered including antique
cars in the state’s mandatory annual
safety inspection program, claiming that many are unsafe “junkers.”

*This past weekend Linda and I went to see the movie "The World's
Fastest Indian." Linda
didn't know exactly what she was being lured into (a motorcycle movie!), but came away feeling it was two hours very well spent. It is a delightful movie with delightful characters and a delightful ending. And a True Story. No violence, no helicopters, no shoot 'em up, and no sneaky bad guys. If Anthony Hopkins (aka Hannibal the Cannibal) does not win an Academy Award for his performance, the Academy should close up shop. Go see it in the theater if you can as I doubt that a later DVD will do the production justice. I guarantee you will love this movie whether you are a car nut or not. Don and Linda Holle
